We are able to cater to the needs of any lifestyle, age group or consumption moment. Fresh, frozen, or prepared. Traditional fruit and vegetables and new varieties. Exotic or local. Pre-packaged or in bulk. Pre- washed, pre-cut or pre-cooked. Our ultimate dream is to create a true fruit and vegetables universe within the retail space, where consumers can buy fruit and vegetables in any shape or form they wish.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
As the world’s population increases, so will the demand for food. The only way to fulfil this demand in a sustainable manner is to drive the consumption of healthy fruit, vegetables and meat. This panorama enables us to produce high-quality food on limited surface areas, with a minimum of resources and friendly with the environment. Our ultimate aim is to make people’s lives healthier and the world a better place to live in.
BioAgro is committed to grow consumption of fruits and vegetables and organic meats, dairy and wool, for a healthy future, creating value for the planet, partners and customers alike.
Our values are part of our DNA. They guide the way we work with our customers, suppliers, consumers, within our communities and with each other.
Merino wool is the world’s finest and softest wool in the world. Its natural benefits are so great that no other fibre – natural or man-made – can match it.
In South America we produce other types of wool, suitable for products such as wool bedding and home interiors, but it’s Merino wool that is most-suited for luxury clothing, high-performance sportswear and next-to-skin apparel.
Fashion designers love this unique fibre for its quality and versatility – nothing else feels like Merino wool, looks like Merino wool, or wears like Merino wool.
Arguably the oldest-known animal fibre, wool is composed of a natural protein called keratin – the same protein found in human hair – with a small amount of calcium, sodium and fat. The surface of each fibre is covered in scales, which are important in making felts and traditional woollen cloths.
As a South American woolgrower we produce the world’s finest wool from Merino and other sheep breeds using sustainable farming practices. Unlike synthetics which are industrially produced from non-renewable fossil energy, Merino wool is a natural fibre grown year-round by Merino sheep, consuming a simple blend of natural ingredients including sunshine, water, fresh air and grass. Every year these sheep produce new fleece, making wool a completely renewable fibre.
All our wool fibers are certified by WoolTrademark, South America’s seal of quality standards, owned by the Wool Trademark Quality Company (WTQC), a company owned by South American woolgrowers.
Our textile fibers are obtained from organic sheep (Texel, Dorset, Merino, Rambouillet, Blue Faced Leicester, and Corriedale breeds) and alpaca, including cashmere and mohair from goats.
